Course Details

This qualification gives students the knowledge and skills to plan, and deliver safe, effective suspended movement exercises, and training sessions.

Entry Requirements

Students must be 16 years or older.

Students must hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction or equivalent.

Some experience of suspended movement training is useful.

Qualification Structure

Unit 1: Planning a suspended movement training exercise session.

Unit 2: Instructing a suspended movement training exercise session.


This qualification is assessed by:

  • Coursework
  • Practical Demonstration/assignment

Study Options

Part Time: You will attend an 8 hour practical workshop and complete your workbook and practical assessment. 

Workshop dates are scheduled throughout the year. Please speak to our enrolment team for future dates. 

Study Progression

To have gained entry to this qualification, you will have achieved your Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing. You will be eligible for entry to an Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.

Career Options

Our industry has evolved over the years and the minimum requirements to obtain employment or self employment within the industry is Level 3. Your level 2 qualification is an excellent grounding for instructing fitness and supporting people in the community.
